When all you want to do is relax at the end of the day, it’s nice to walk a few steps to a restaurant or have your meal delivered to your room. Captain Cook Motor Lodge is Gisborne’s only motel with its own licensed restaurant. The restaurant is open Monday to Thursday and at other times on request.
If you’re paying for staff on a business trip to Gisborne, having accommodation and food expenses on a single bill can save a lot of hassle.
Our buffet continental breakfast is available daily. Cooked breakfasts are also available on request.
We can do cut lunches for those on business or heading off on a day trip. A typical cut lunch includes cake, seasonal fruit, sandwiches or a hearty pie.
The Navigator restaurant is fully licensed and provides an a la carte menu for motel guests and casual diners, Monday to Thursday. Bookings are recommended. Dinner on other nights can be arranged, please just ask.
The Navigator menu is complemented with a range of fine wines, bottled beers and spirits. It changes depending on what is in season – below is a sample menu. Vegetarian options and a children’s menu are also available.
